The Yssian City-States Era
After settling in the land that would both name them and itself—Ys—the Tlatotlys, or proto-Yssians, began to form independent, self-governing city-states. Three prominent Yssian factions arose, the Tlatli Yssians of the central grasslands and hills; the Northern Yssians of the coastal regions on Chaalai, the Gatlay; and the Tzapli Yssians of the more marginal lands of desert, jungle, and bogs.
The prominent city-states were Tlatl, Cheotlin, Driosatlin of the Tlatli Yssians; the Citadel of Ysfet, Watlwatl, of the Tzapli; and Garin, Chalin, and Dranin, of the Northern Yssians.
