Grimmur's Pick

Deep underneath the Curtain is Grimmur's Pick. A large city that runs on the mining of precious gemstones. Throughout the years the city has profited from its close proximity to the Forest of Dungol. The city is known for its gems and beer.

Defences

The inhabitants of the city, have always been weary of outsiders, and through its existence the city has always kept a large emphasis on having good defences. With the city always having a large part of its budget going to the maintainance of their current defensive stuctures. The city has a large and complex outer city wall, housing a large retinue of soldiers, ready to defend the city at any moment. All entrances into the city are guarded with heavy doors, protected with large watchtowers on both sides.

Industry & Trade

The two main industries in Grimmur's Pick are the mining of precious stones and the production of beer.
The city, mainly founded because of its proximity to the veins of precious gemstones, but also its large source of fresh glacier mountain water. The city and its inhabitants pride themselves on the purity of their water and their gems, allowing them to produce the finest beers and clearest gemstones.

Districts

The city is divided into 4 quarters: Northwatch, Old Town, Burla and The Gemling Quarter. With each of these quarters having a distinct function.

Northwatch Quarter

Mostly provides housing for the many denizens that call Grimmur's Pick their home.

Burla's Quarter

Most of clan Burla's members live in this district, also home to the well known Stjo Burla Brewery, a massive brewery providing nearly half of the country's beer supply.

Old Town Quarter

The oldest part of the city. This district is known for its many bars and shops and the Prundok Casino.
