Mourns for Trees
Mourns for Trees is an old sorrowful man standing beside a sick looking tree, planted near the death monument.
Esmae of the Flowers talks with him and he says he is distressed that nobody cares for the trees. Esme says that she cares a lot for trees, and this unlocks something within her (learns Primal magic).
She gives him a salvia flower and he plants it in the ground where it promptly grows.
The Nameless One also says he accepts that the trees deserve our care and respect, and Eilana managed to slightly heal the tree with her Paladin magic. Arvid also in accepting the importance of the trees causes his clothing to spawn a cloak ( Cloak of Fallen Leaves ). This also caused Arvid to recall a great slaughter in this place.
In Morns for Trees presence we hear an echo of ?the Eldest say “the People are a bridge”,
He tells the Ka-Tet that we should bring healing to this place of pain, then places his hands on my chest where a symbol then appears ( Symbol of Torment ).
