Crimea
The Secondary Duchy of Valla
When Valla was first formed alongside Nohr, it was divided into two duchies. The capital duchy, Valentia, is where the Vallite Crown has direct power, with its capital in Aurora. And while the other duchy, Crimea, still serves under the Vallite crown, it has power of its own.
This duchy is much more vast than Valentia, with several different sprawling biomes home to several different types of people and Pokemon. The central region is much less populated than the Crimean borders, with several smaller villages making up the expanse. As you get closer to the capital counties, however, each territory becomes much more interesting and alive: for example, central Violight being located within the stormy mountains and Illusio, the Crimean capital, being built upon floating crystals.
Demographics
Because of these different biomes and terrains, the people of Crimea have developed widely different cultures from one another to a point where they've had trouble identifying as one people in the past. Nowadays, it is considered very important that the Crimean Duke/Duchess make an attempt to connect with all of the territories within its realm to emphasize unity.
Districts
Crimea is made up of four counties: Violight, Crysalia, Pugilis, and Illusio. Illusio is considered the capital of Crimea, and it is where the Crimean Duke/Duchess resides and rules from.
Points of interest
One of the reasons that the secondary duchies of Crimea in Valla and Drest in Nohr is that their capitals are the place where the Council of Ransei meet every two years. Both Drest and Crimea have used this as leverage for a balance of power in the past.
Geography
Crimea is much larger and more sprawling than Valentia, and has much more diverse requirements as a result. Violight is located in a stormy mountainous range, Pugilis is in an arid flatland, Crysalia has a similar terrain to the biodiverse Greenleaf, and Illusio is located in a mountainous valley of floating crystals full of psychic energy.
