Lindor
A kingdom on the Saltbrine Coast of western Polnarus. It's one of the oldest human holdings in Polnarus. They speak an ethnic language called Eisen Sprache.
Its capital is Gothelheim on the Bay of Tears. Other prominent locations are the Daggerwood and the Great Ironwood. It is also home to two mountain ranges, the Erdsalz Mountains and the Oberschmelze Mountains. The former is known for its rich mineral deposits, including salt and silver, while the latter has volcanic activity which creates the famous hot baths of Achselbad. There's also sections of coast called the Flintstein Strand and Grausam Strand as well as the bread basket of the kingdom, the fertile Blumenthal Valley.
Lindor shares borders with the Baggoon Swamplands to the east, Langrike and Petrepol to the north, and Arvandus to the south.
The people of Lindor most commonly worship Ilmater, the Iron Goddess, deity of endurance and martyrdom. Citizens also pray to her children Phobos and Diemos, the minor gods of fear and confusion, a trio of sister goddesses known as the Three Graces, as well as various saints.
There's a strong tradition of magic in Lindor. Each village or town has its own witch that acts as a protector, advisor, and wise person to their community. Witches will often take an apprentice under their wing in order to ensure that every village has a witch to serve them.
It is said that a shard of the ice primordial Dur-baagal landed on Zameen when he was slain by the goddess Auril during the Dawn War, creating the Bay of Tears. There are also conflicting legends regarding the unusually high amount of genasi born around the bay. One in ten children born near the body of water end up being water or air genasi. Some say that when pregnant mothers spend time in the waters of the Bay of Tears, a merfolk will kiss their belly as a blessing from the sea. Others claim that a sea hag has placed a curse on said children.
