Personal history

Bahiti or Bahi was brought into the capital as a refugee during the second Dawn Hazfen empire's war. Her family running from a Dwarven siege army rode their trade ship east on the river. Upon it, they took their cities' grain and water. A few days travel and glancing over their shoulder brought them to the walls of Ampoule. Their refugees clogged the streets and Burgeond struggled to support them. Bahiti's family set in the river and gave out the grain and boiled water to the refugees. Not much time passed before the people called the boat a Burgeond temple of its own. Through a trade deal, Bahi's parents sold their grain to a Burgeond in order to secure a farm on the east side of the city. There they shipped things to their ship and into town and began to make coins. Bahi learned from her parents and rode the ship into the city.
She loved its shape and curves. Watching the people of the capital and the refugees mix was like oil on water. She wanted to wear the silks and feel the smooth skin of the dancers who lined the upper district's street.
Her parents forbade her. Growing up she took her money and fled the business to the dancing districts along the river. Their travelers were drawn in and drained of money.  Among other things. She fell in with a beautiful unnamed dancer who intimately taught the maturing Bahi how to feel skin and move like the river. The dancer said to move unnaturally for a human, but instead, like something else, would hypnotize those along the river. So she learned to flow. She ate little and worked a lot. She didn't realize till it was too late that she was not happy, but instead a tool.
In her mid-twenties as her young grace fell away to new younger dancers she saw became turned. She no longer saw the dancing as beauty, the men and women who did it seemed to her like simply artworks, not people. So she used her only other skill set.
She became a merchant of the dancers. She and the other older dancers banded together and took in the younger ones like mentors.
Thus the Dancers of Hourglass were formed. They enforced strict prices and the treatment of their employees.
At first they only held a quarter of the length of the river. Freelance dancers fled them. Then came back running when cruel buyers and those who wanted a free touch only came to them. Quickly nearly all dancers in the capital were part of Bahi's organization. She turned what was once a chaotic and vulnerable trade into a respectable, safe one. The Burgeond of the time saw this and tracked her down. They offered Inversion, to the who took away the shame of the capital and exchanged it for beauty.
After her inversion, she reveled in her new youthful body. She found people listening to her again, entranced by her.  She formed a legendary concubine and took in the wealthiest and most beautiful of customers. She delved into Invictus which she found had little affect on her new body. Over the years she found only the most extreme of the carnal affected her. So she fell. Still the river dancer queen of the capital she lays about and delves into enjoyments upon her Bahiti's Temple Cruise. She changed her name the day her parents died. Bahiti is now alone in a world of beauty and passion.
