Griffon
Griffon was a mysterious Tielfling that Pestle met in Penguin's safe house. ( Vun Roade was also present, but invisible ) in Session 12: Where's Tornac?. He was short, very fat, and has albino white skin. He also bore a strange brand on his left hand, which depicts a silver crown and the number 38.
The party encountered him again when they were on trial in Mechanus, and a third time in the Elemental Plane of Water. On their third encounter Griffon revealed that he wanted to die, and Tornac happily helped him in this endeavor.
Hand of Fate title
Lucan Pavalur, Griffon, and Tornac were depicted together on one tapestry. Griffon is seen on the far right, wielding a sword with an eyeball in it that looks a lot like Dave. His title was "The Observer".Mental characteristics
Personal history
Griffon attempted to explain who was, but found his brand refused to let him speak about certain things. When he tried, he put a hand over his brand and screamed in pain. He was able to explain, however, that he has some sort of history with Tornac and a human named Lucan, who has an arrow painted on his head. He says that the three of them were in a "terrible, terrible place"for quite some time, but he thinks he is the only one who remembers it. On the subject of Tornac, he said "I love that guy, but he would probably murder me."
Mental Trauma
Griffon gave Pestle a sentient eyeball during their meeting, and said that it was a great burden he was pleased to be free from. He said that it drove him to madness, but did not specify what kind.
