OttC Session 8: Through the Door

General Summary

RP Roundup

• Edward DuThane is confirmed plague-free
• There is a festival held, at Krisi's suggestion, to raise morale and look for additional Moon Plague patients.  None are found.
• Yona sees Sybil for help with her cravings after the sixtraxlota incident.  Sybil mentions that most of her drugs to treat this were already bought out by Nethis Rastrin
• Cyrci tries to investigate Jane and her history with Izar.  The library should have books about this, but doesn't.  They were donated to another library, checked out under false names, and then apparently disappeared after.
• Cyrci tests her new Peculiar Puking Poison on Zgathor Scalescribe
• Zgathor Scalescribe has a brief encounter with The Traveler 
• Cyrci invites Yona to move in to her shop.  She agrees.
• Cyrci activates her new conduit for the first time
• Tsukiko approaches Cyrci for a new arm for her "twin sister" (discord link)
• Zgathor Scalescribe asks Nethis Rastrin about where they got their books again.  They still refuse to answer, and warn Zgathor Scalescribe that further investigation is dangerous. (discord link)
• Tsukiko gives Cyrci a camel just to mess with her.  The camel turns out to be a person, whom Elidyr brings back to normal.
• Cyrci and Yona arrange things so Jennevieve Lancaster ends up alone with Atim.  He talks about himself and his past.
• Zgathor Scalescribe analyses the diary, learning a lot while also learning very little (discord link)

Pixo's New Plan

• Pixo brings the team into his office and explains that his new plan is to send every Moon Plague, along with several veteran Doorman, to a mission in Elysium.  Normally he fears people sent there might desert, but in the case of Moon Plague patients that might be a good thing
• Murphy did not respond to the summons.  The party investigates, and finds him caring for Atim, who is suffering symptoms of blood loss despite no visible wounds.  He was brought in by Nethis Rastrin, who hesitantly gives Yona a place to go investigate.
• The team reports back, and then Krisi volunteers them to enter Elysium and help find supplies.

Elysium

• The party enters Elysium to find a party.  It is a fundraiser of sorts, filled with snooty individuals.  Cyrci puts some Peculiar Puking Poison into the punch bowl for her own amusement.
• The party discovers that they are actually on a massive airship.
• Zgathor Scalescribe sneaks around the ship, attempting to crash it.  Cyrci, Yona, and Krisi try to find the captain.
• An eladrin in the engine room tells them the ship has no captain - it is an automated fundraiser run by The Bronze Prince.  
• While this is being discussed, chaos breaks out in the main dining hall.  The party spends quite some time and a skill challenge to help clean up the chaos.  As part of this, Krisi ends up with a small group of ducklings.
• Despite the incident, it seems The Bronze Prince is contractually obligated to aid Sigil when able, so supplies are swiftly sent to the ship for transport through the door
• Afterwards, Cyrci is taken aside by the eladrin to be scolded

As soon as Cyrci is alone with the eladrin, she finds out that the man is not actually angry. If anything, he is amused, but does punch her a couple times to prove the point and asks her to act like she got scolded. He also gives her a bag of holding which she later discovers is filled to the brim with metal ores - her payment for agreeing to build Cyrci a metal arm.

• After the scolding, the party regroups, Eesa figures out how to open the door back home, and the various goods are taken into Sigil, Krisi's ducklings included.

Water

• Upon her return to Cyrci's Junk and Shit, Cyrci discovers her shop is flooded.  This turns out to be a result of new construction in her shop - The entrance to the new workshop she had built for Yona is now a portal to the Elemental Plane of Water, and a triton is on the other side adjusting a magical seal that he set up to keep water from flowing out through the other side.
• Pixo and Eesa are very excited by this strange development, but Cyrci is not happy at all.  Pixo arranges a meeting with leadership on the other side of the portal, and promises Cyrci that she will be adequately compensated for this... whatever the hell happened.
