Edward DuThane

Edward Duthane is a vampiricEinherjar, and husband to Mama Bear. Before coming to Vigrid Edward was the leader of a militant force of vampires known as The Crimson Knights. He and his fellow vampires captured considerable territory in Esma before being slain by The Assorted Crusaders, including his own wife, in The Blood Crusades.
He and his wife have had a strained relationship, but they have now settled their past differences and are a model couple among the Einherjar. The two were inseparable, sometimes even outright refusing to participate in the Training Games without their partners.
After the doors closed in Sigil, Edward was chosen to represent the Einherjar within the city, and was therefore resurrected with the efforts of Jane and Pixo. He openly admitted to his vampiric nature, but operated an embassy within the city.  He was on good terms with most of The Window, and when Pixo left the city Edward was chosen as a member of the Window Ruling Council.
When The Age of Coalescence came to a close, Edward stepped down from his position on the council.  He did not return to Vigrid, however, instead purchasing a small home in Qolodeteshii, where he lives with his wife Mama Bear.  The pair are both vampires, so they live on the Prime Material Plane on standby, waiting for the day the Forms strike again and the Einherjar are needed.

History

These two were happily married for about twelve years. With Mama Bear being a werebear and Edward DuThane being a vampire, they made a rather strange couple but they understood each other very well. However, the two had serious disagreements about how they should interact with "normal" people. Mama Bear was of the opinion that they should hide from the world and live out their days as hermits, but Edward DuThane wanted to discuss his condition publicly to help raise awareness.
Eventually they settled on a compromise; they would openly discuss their conditions with those who had similar afflictions, but keep it a secret from those who would be less likely to understand what they were going through. This worked well for a time, but Edward DuThane, constantly exposed to the concerns of his fellow vampires, eventually founded a small vampiric military force known as The Crimson Knights. His goal was to give himself and his fellow vampires a place of their own, but he did this through military conquest. This eventually became a full scale war known as The Blood Crusades, and Mama Bear, due to guilt and obligations from her position in Tyr's Hammer, found herself on the opposite side of the conflict.
She eventually helped to slay Edward DuThane at the end of the war.  Even after this, though, Mama Bear still loved her husband.  She refused to remarry, and when the two eventually met again in Vigrid they made amends and continued their relationship where they left off, including having another marriage right there in The Town.
