Our campus, nestled in the coutryside of Upstate New York, features state of the art facilities within buildings created using classic architecture style while still featuring all the modern needs of our students and faculty. Our science labs and computer facilities rival the finest universities, such as Columbia University, Latverian Science Technic, and high-tech companies such as Armbruster Industries and Star Kinetic Technologies. Our library has unrivaled access to any other library and research center on the planet and we have guest lecturers from a wide variety of fields and expertise who are invited to provide their own insight to our students.
Ravensmore Academy also provides superior dormitory accomodations where every room is the student's own apartment with it's own en suite, refrigerator and microwave to give the student a sense of "home away from home" during their education. Students also have access to a fully equipped gym, athletic fields and special practice locations and simulators designed to hone special abilities, for those who possess them, without harm to themselves, other students or campus facilities. Our cafeteria provides delicious and healthy meals three times a day and can easily provide for students with specific nutritional needs. There are also numerous extracurricular activities available and students are encouraged to find the best fit for themselves, whether if be in team or invividual sports, any of the vast number of clubs, or even in social activities such as dances, movie nights and many others.

Every thing in the excerpt from the promotional brochure, which is duplicated on their website, is absolutely true. However, it is what's not included that would be cause for concern for parents, law enforcement and the superheroic community if it were known. The hidden truth is that over the three years of education at Ravensmore Academy, students are subtely brainwashed into becoming loyal agents for The Shadow Syndicate. The process is extremely subtle taking years to fully be effective. A mixture of subliminal messages, in class lectures and content on the school's website, along with Mystech devices placed in each student's dorm room and the regular, mandatory "counseling" sessions with the academy's counselor, Dr. Lucian Graves. The changes in personality are carefully monitored as not to arouse suspicion with student's family so they can easily be explained away by normal teenage mood changes and desire for independence. Asking any student how they like living and learning at Ravensmore Academy and they will all answer that they love their school and have learned so much.
The Phantom's plans are about the reach fruition as the first class is expected to graduate in the Spring of 2025. The graduates of that class have already been recruited or placed in colleges and universities around the world to act as undercover operatives of The Shadow Syndicate charged with recruiting new members, supporting operations in the graduate's area, and promoting Ravensmore Academy to up and coming metahumans.

Assets

The Phantom will spare no expense in providing what Ravensmore Academy requires to fullfill its purpose and so all the assets of The Shadow Syndicate can be funneled into the coffers of the school.
In addition to the facilities mentioned in the brochure exerpt, there are also training facilities specificially designed for superpowered individuals, similar to training rooms found in superhero team bases. The campus' security systems are designed to be concealed and, with the addition of the security forces, are able to withstand an assault by superpowered assailants and organized armed forces.

History

Years ago, when The Phantom was consolidating his power and building The Shadow Syndicate, he recognized that more and more superpowered individuals were being created and that they would be a threat to his plans in the future. However, if he could somehow mold the next generation of powered individuals to be friendly or even loyal to him he would be able to maintain his powerbase and his organization. He saw in the chaos and concerns of a world coming to terms with the events brought on by the Change (History of Prime Universe COS-UA) and the increase in the number of metahumans, an opportunity. If he could "educate" these young powered individuals properly, he could create a new generation of supers that would be loyal to him and do his bidding.
The Phantom drew up plans for a school to "help and educate" those with metahuman and mystichuman abilities giving him the chance to brainwash his future army under controlled conditions to achieve the best results. Through his agents he was able to purchase a property in Upstate New York to build the school and some well placed bribes and undercover agent activity, the school was easily accredited. Hiring top notch teachers was easily done by offering them amazing salaries and the challenge of educating the future generations of superheroes. (Teachers who were not already Syndicate agents were brainwashed to ensure their loyalty.)
When the Ravensmore Adademy officially opened, there was no shortage of applicants. Parents of children with powers were desperate to find a place to help their kids learn to responsibly use their abilities and still fit in with society. To ensure the Academy's success, The Phantom placed Vespera Nyx in the position of Headmistress and filled the support staff positions with qualified Syndicate agents.
Now, less than three years later, the Ravensmore Academy is about to fulfill its desired purpose of creating loyal, superpowered agents to help bring about The Phantom's vision of a new world.

Vespera Nyx Headmistress of Ravensmore Academy, Ms. Nyx, as she's referred to by the students, is a formidable woman who has the students best interest at heart. At least publically. Behind the scenes, she is also responsible for the smooth operation of The Phantom's plan and to reign in any students who might find themselves exercising more free will than wanted.

Dr. Lucian Graves is the psychologist and counselor for the Ravensmore Academy and also holds the position of Assistant Headmaster. He appears to be a caring, jovial, and professional individual in charge of the mental well-being of the students of the Academy. The students see him as someone who "gets them" and rave about how wonderful he is at helping them overcome their problems. Secretly, he is the man who created the brainwashing program.

Clayton Carter is the Academy's star student. He is a star athlete, top in all of his classes and is generally popular with the student body. He is also the most successful test subject of the brainwashing program and will be attending Columbia University once he graduates next year. He is completely loyal to The Shadow Syndicate and prepared to begin recruiting new agents as soon as he begins University.
