Da'alinar

The Da'alinar (Elvish for “Crown of Glowing Towers”) is a long ridge running through Eridann, from the Iron Star Mountains and the Thorn Mountains. The dwarves call the ridge Eknath Baal, or “Hammer Ridge”.
The Elvish name came from how the trees on the ridge look in sunset. The Dwarvish name came from their legend that the ridge was created when Moradin missed a swing at the elven god Corellon Larethian, and his hammer crashed into the ground so hard it broke the land, creating the split that became the ridge.
Timarion - the capital of the Elvish Kingdom of Eridane - is located along the ridge, where it crosses the Alanea River.
