Timarion (tih-MAH-ree-ohn)
Timarion is the capital of the
Kingdom of Eridane and the home of the High King of Eridane and much of the Government of Eridane.
Timarion is located in the center of Eridann, where the Alanea River crosses the cliff formed by the Da'alinar, forming the Selbraen Caestina, or Silken Veil Falls. The cliff face is about 60 feet high, and two waterfalls drop from the side of the cliff into a moat that surrounds the island of Tollassëo, which is where the royal palace of Artúrion is located.
Timarion also serves as the capital for the region of Eridann, and the Governor of Eridann resides in the city as well.
Etymology:
Name originated by ASE ca 2001(?). Trying to reverse engineer it, PE has tima listed as variant of -ima, adj, "-able", derived from -ima, "possibility"; also ion pl. relative pron. in genitive "from whom, of whom"... so something like "Source of possibility"?
Demonym Timarionim derived from a variation on the class plural -rim from Eldamo.
Demographics
