East March

The East March is made up of the lands located in the eastern part of the Kingdom of Bartol.   Settlements in the East March include:   Wexler – a small town which primarily serves as a hub for trade related to mining in the Harald Hills.   Chile (Chiyl) – A village that serves as the home base for much of the mining in the nearby hills, with many hill dwarves and halflings nearby.   Saltmarsh – A town of fishermen located on the southern coast.   Seaton – a larger town that serves as a trade center for the southern coast of the East March. Seat of the Barony of Seaton.   Burle Another town focused on mining, with halfling & dwarvish miners in the nearby hills.   Weth A small village with farmers & migrant miners   Merizon (Meh-ri-ZONE) – A town which provides a port for agricultural goods and other trade along the Kingfisher River. Seat of the current-day County of Merizon and an impressive castle which was the ancestral capitol of County of Merizon (one of earliest states in the area).   Hidd Fishing village   Nilson A village of mostly farmers, with a halfling settlement nearby   Lonsway pop 4000 A larger port town, home to both river & sea fishing fleets. Also seat of the Earldom of Lonsway.   Streamshead  A small settlement centered around an inn complex, one day out from Lonsway,   Bridgeport - a significant port, serving as an alternative to Harnsport for transport to Errestan and points inland. Known for it's sailors' school and university.     Bridgewood – pop 1500 Inland trade center, woodmen, some elves (15%)   Quinn's Hill - Overlooking Vost Forest, this is often seen as a 'last outpost' for adventure seekers and those down on their luck.     Notable areas in the East March include:   Bogey Hills - often avoided, said to be haunted by awful spirits; frequent destination for adventurers from Bridgewood/Bridgeport   Vost Forest – a dark, tangled, ancient forest   Elwyn's Point – Point nearest Straits of Sand with a lighthouse said to be haunted, and the ruins of some long lost city nearby.
