Jastingrag

Jastingrag is a mining settlement on the Cannic mounts to the south of the Duchy of Jameleska. Built around the ruins of a Svartvelheim citadel, this fortress town served as the home of The Snow Lord and once claimed dominion over the lands that are now the Duchy of Jameleska. The city’s key position on the roads between Nordenstor and New Ammanor make it a trade hub, although this status has decreased in the last three hundred years since Jameleska was welcomed into the Kingdom of Jotun as a client state.
Jastingrag served as the site of the final battle of the four week war between the Snow Lord and Jameleska. The Snow Lord and Eyes of Varpak had hidden within their fortifications and performed the ritual to magical poison the noble heirs of the Jotun rulers, hoping to blackmail them into joining the war and destroying Jameleska for good and bow them to their will.
The town was partially destroyed and its ruler slaughtered by Doomed 2 Die and the Jameleskan Military. It is now under the control of The Snow Lady, who has begun rebuilding the walls and town and being exporting the valuable gems and ores of the settlement once more.

Demographics

The town is overhwellming frost giant, with a smaller population of ogres who work the mines and hill giants who form the lower ranks of the guards.

Defences

Jastingrag was once defended by an impressive wall. This was destroyed by The Boys and Roach during the battle, with explosives taking down the ancient rounded fortifications. With no central keep inside the town, this one line of defence was an easy target for the sappers. The wall is slowly being rebuilt, but is unlikely to be finished untill the next century.
