Session 46 Report

General Summary

The Lanterns finally explore The Secret Library. The amount of books is staggering, making their research quite difficult without spending too long in here. It seems like the place will get flooded by the end of the day, which caused some despair in Ariadne Salvatore.
The PCs actually managed to salvage a lot of books and took them upstairs to the cellar. Tuborg was of great muscle help and Ariadne's impression of him seemed to have grown.

It's been a while... so let's add some Madness points to your characters, as they've witnessed some pretty fucked up stuff. Reading a letter and changing the environment. An undead girl dissolving into black goo. A man re-commit suicide and his body decompose in minutes. A report over 10 years old that describes someone like Ichabod. And so on and so on. So… Here we go:

Missions/Quests Completed

Discovered a laboratory underground. It was almost completely overrun by stones and debris (besides being completely submerged), but some materials were floating on the water.
Discovered the passage that leads into the mine tunnels, behind a secret door hidden by a fake bookshelf.
Danica collected a piece of skin that looked very well preserved and looked like a missing patch that the PCs witnessed in several of the flesh-eating children.
Ichabod made some connection's between the An Anchorite's Report and Salvatore's Suicide Letter.
Ariadne showed her studies on body preservation, skin graft, and "cloning".
Ariadne told them she had more than 50 "subjects" and that the "main subject" is her brother, whom she took out of his grave and preserved underground in the lab for all these years.
After the earthquake a month ago, the whole lab got destroyed and her subjects disappeared or were buried in the aftermath.
The PCs told Ariadne they found her "subjects" very much "alive" and she suggested that they must've been dragged by the waters all the way to Vor Ziyden.
Ariadne gave Ichabod's handkerchief back to him and it had a hole in it; as if burned, but without scorch marks.

Tuborg got quite friendly with Ariadne. They searched the library for books for Ichabod, so he can learn how to read (LOL). Ariadne thought that strange, but agreed to help anyway.

Shellta cast Suggestion on Ariadne and asks her to spill out the secrets about the laboratory. Ariadne told the PCs she's done dozens of experiments and her main goal was duplicating her brother (cloning). She showed the notebook, with hundreds of pages of studies on skin grafts, preservation, reanimation and cloning. She assumed having taken her brother's corpse out of the grave and preserving it for these experiments. After that, Shellta cast Forget on her.
