Quick 8 kit
Utility
The Quick-8 kit, or Quick 8s, is a disease testing kit that works in about ten minutes from a small sample of animal blood. The kits test for an array of diseases that affect wildlife: rabies, distemper, lyme disease, Trichinellosis, parasitic worms, chronic wasting disease, Dreamer's Disease, and various zoonic flus. These diseases can cause a number of health effects and be deadly, and their spread is highly monitored in North American and Asian animal populations.
The kit was mainly developed for use in tracking disease in animals migrating in and out of the Land of Gods, to be used as an early warning system for disease outbreaks, however has further been used across the regions for more general monitoring. Quick-8s are also used by the Laramidia National Park Organization, Pack of Ferventi, and hunters in general. The Pack of Ferventi, hunters, and folk in more rural areas are also known to use the Quick-8 as a testing kit for roadkill and scavenged meats as well, and it is sometimes used by food regulators when testing meat quality or contamination.
Although not recommended for use in humanoids, the kits are occasionally used for testing for infections in rural areas or those without ready access to healthcare, especially following an animal attack, due to the kit being able to test for rabies extremely quickly.
Social Impact
Quick-8s are an important tool in hunting communities and rural areas in tracking animal disease outbreaks as well as preventing them in humanoids. Data from tracking outbreaks picked up by the kits has over the years since their distribution allowed for much greater funding to be applied appropriately in affected regions as well as allow for the development of disease prevention programs. Regions in which the kits are frequently in use see a much lower rate of infections affecting humanoids, higher rates of treatment when infection does occur, and far fewer deaths.

Access & Availability
Quick-8 kits are readily available across North America and Asia, most commonly found in hunting and fishing supply stores. Although in the past they were regulated solely to wildlife and national park services, the restrictions were quickly lifted and the kits can now be purchased in the vast majority of regions by anyone with a hunting license, veterinary license, is a member of Ferventi's cult, or lives in areas where the diseases tested for are common.
Complexity
The kits are made using the same piece of technology that allows Blood Cloning and Transfusion Machines to isolate samples and can in a limited capacity clone a sample for testing. The kit uses blood magic using energy stored in Dragonsglass beads to detect diseases and infections from a sample.
