The Wars and Alliances of the Gods

Conflicts

Not all conflicts between the gods are severe enough to be considered a war, and many severe conflicts are also never officially declared by the involved parties to be a war. These are often one off battles, generally with more trivial reasons or for the pure sake of fighting.
Fire God Vega and Nagi, God of Water have had many conflicts, even after the end of their war with one another centuries ago. They continue to have conflicts mainly to do with their festivals, and that Nagi purposefully holds his festival just outside of the Republic of Shanai, just far enough to be considered out of Vega's reach, but close enough to irritate him.
Ferventi, God of Wolves and Ludovic, the Polecat God, have had many conflicts in recent years due to Ludovic's bids for power. While Ferventi himself sees the polecat as harmless, many within his cult view the other as a threat and treading on Ferventi's territory as one of the pantheon.

Wars

Wars between the gods, particularly the Minor Gods, is very common. Most often these wars are brief and settled within a few years, but some can rage for centuries.

Currently Active Wars

Svrar, Goddess of Tigers and Soliairs Taeyang are actively at war with one another, and have been almost from the instant Soliairs became a god. This was further fueled by Svar's assassination of Benjamen Stridde, Soliairs' boyfriend.
Novi, The Goddess of Orcas and Sekhmet, Goddess of Lions are technically at war due to their cults sharing many of the same ideals and symbols, however this war is mostly symbolic and treated more as friendly rivalry and competition.
Shia, the God of Death and Mora, The God of Life have been at war with one another for as long as both have been recognized as gods. They frequently do battle with one another, and often will kill each other in battle only to revive themselves by the following day. Although at war, they are not seeking to destroy the other, as this would have disastrous effects on the world as a whole.

Historical Wars

Ferventi, God of Wolves and his cult, the Pack of Ferventi, had a massive war with the now fallen God of Badgers. This was caused by the badger god killing Ferventi's mate, Cryce, the god of rabbits, and killing all of their offspring due to their own war with one another. This was a long and bloody war with numerous conflicts, and to such a destructive degree that there are multiple regions still uninhabitable as a result of the two gods coming to blows. Ferventi eventually managed to slay the Badger's heir and force them to train one from a new bloodline, and the badger later died of their injuries caused by the wolf. This war is the basis behind the myth, The Rage of Ferventi.
The Crane and Tiger gods have been at war with one another for centuries, long before Soliairs Taeyang and Svrar, Goddess of Tigers. This has mostly been to their sharing of territory, the relationship between predator and prey, and very different ideology.
All major gods, Fire God Vega, Nagi, God of Water, Ryou, the God of Wind, and Lapi, The God of Earth, were at one time at war with one another at once, all vying for power and territory. This caused the The War of Black Ash, due to their elements causing the planet to enter complete climate freefall. All the elemental gods have declared peace and will not actively go to war with one another again, although they do still have some conflicts.
Hilathu, the Fallen God of Serpents, at one time had declared war on all other snake gods. This was resolved by Shia killing him.

Alliances

No matter the god, alliances are important. They can swing wars in each other's favor, and often, put an end to a war before it begins.

Currently Active Alliances

Yung Pagoni, God of Peacocks and Olrath, as Olrath raised Yung, and he sees her as his mother.
Olrath and Ferventi, God of Wolves are both considered by one another to be the last of their generation of gods and have a decent friendship. Their cults often work in tandem with one another, as both gods represent different aspects of parenthood.
Yung Pagoni, God of Peacocks and Ferventi, God of Wolves are allies, however in the sense neither god will declare war on one another due to fear for the destruction it would cause.
Ferventi, God of Wolves and Hikaru Vulapin, God of Foxes. Ferventi has been allies of the fox god since his childhood, when he was raised by one of them who is now unknown. With Hikaru this is no different, and the pair have a sexual relationship. Ferventi is the father of several of Hikaru's children, including her heir, Aurora Vulapin.
Soliairs Taeyang and Yung Pagoni, God of Peacocks are allies, due to their past relationship.
Yung Pagoni, God of Peacocks and Ryou, the God of Wind, due to the pair are mates, and Yung is technically counted as Ryou's heir. Yung being Ryou's heir is a temporary matter, as they are trying to have children of their own.
Soliairs Taeyang and Ryoma, God of Tuna have a steady alliance, assisting one another's cults, protecting each other's ships, and often giving out blessing and boons to sailors and sea men in tandem.
Olrath and Ryoma, God of Tuna have an alliance with one another, said to be due to a good relationship between her and the Fallen Tuna God.
Ludovic and Soliairs Taeyang have an active alliance due to Soliairs' crew saving the polecat's life during the War of the Moon. Ludovic considers the act a life-debt that must be repaid.

Historical Alliances

Ferventi, God of Wolves and the Fallen God Cryce. Cryce was one time the god of rabbits, and Ferventi's primary mate. They were strong allies of one another until Cryce's death. Ferventi still mourns them to this day.
Ferventi, God of Wolves and a Fallen God of Foxes. Ferventi was raised by a now unknown fox god, who is only known about due to his tales of her. During this god's life time they were allies.
