Jarl Hakan

A Fierce young warrior who has taken a shock of lands inherited from his father in the north and grown wealthy both through foreign raids and war. He has claimed new holdings and set his foot upon the Fire Islands. Though he is a fierce warrior and has ambitions, he is not a particularly cunning strategist and the coming conflict between him and Magnus is evident. He is very popular with his young warriors and since he has yet to take a wife he is also seen as one of the most eligible bachelors of the North.

Hakan has conflicts with both Jarl Canute  and Jarl Magnus. He has raided both their lands, and only avoided War with Magnus because of the older Kings patients. But that cannot last forever and Hakan’s reckless belief in his own skill may lead his whole kingdom to disaster. He respect Olof, but dismissive of both Bjornkarl  and Selibold , the former he considers 'as soft as a southern king' and the later whose rebuffment of his offers of marriage has been taken less than well.
