OSAD Session 8 - Changing Fate
General Summary
The party pretends to be taken hostage with Ferrus by Roland and Zevna. They make their way toward the court wizard's chamber. Inside Roland begins to gather magical items as Ali becomes suspicious of him. Roland says he intends to kill the young wizard so they cannot be followed. When the party is about to be teleported out of the hold, Ali shoves Roland off the teleporter. The party arrives on a meadow near Brewertown and Zevna departs, telling Ali they will meet again.
The party head to Brewertown while thinking about what to do next. Ali meets up with Bill Strapper again. Ali looks for the faun he tried to hook up with before. Lor spends some time alone when she is attacked by Roland, seeking revenge. Lor calls for assistance but only Aimee shows up to help. Lor and Aster are both injured, with Aimee killing Roland by the end of the fight.
Lor berates Ali for not showing up to help, who falls into a slump after being shouted at and having an unsatisfying sexual encounter earlier. On a walk through Brewertown, Ali meets a mysterious man by the name of "The Custodian", who says he knows a lot about Ali and thinks he'd be the right man to help them both seize power over the Beckett lands. Ali refuses the offer, for now.
The next day the trio head to Godswell City, with Ali being reluctant to go. They head to the King's castle and are brought inside and welcomed as heroes by Hawk. He says that his father is preparing a meal in their honour.
In the meantime before dinner, Lor heads to the library, where she is greeted by Xune, a high-ranking member of the Dark Court, the ruling council of the Lunargaze lands. She informs Lor that her brother Virrian, really wants her to be back home to keep her safe as well as telling her that her niece has taken ill recently after a string of visions, one of which put Xune in a higher place of power.
Ali speaks with his sister, who has been given new organic hands. She says these were made and attached by Daegal Payne and that she is still getting used to them. Ali speaks to her about his resentment of some of the ruling class and of the new ally he has made.
