2022/06/15: Finding the Rift Dweller Report

General Summary

Sith, Knight, Buzz, Malakai, Sunderfury, Ruby, Kenju, Reela Su
During the fight with the rift crawler, the party accidentally found a secret passage on the side of the Rift. We followed its stairs down a ways into a room with an arched doorway. We found more flail snails.
Ruby killed the flail snails with thrown daggers. We found loot in piles of digested adventurers, then went through a portal in the back. That got us into the boss fight against the Rift Dweller, which looked like a 50-foot-tall kenku-like creature. The weapons made from the wolf ate chunks out of its otherwise invulnerable shield.
We spent a lot of resources to kill it. Then phase two started.
