Minister Buzz Gizmo, Minister of Trade and Infrastructure

A technomancer, and the fourth most powerful cleric of Chaz-Achk-Thuum.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

A tall, buff human with glowing green and partially feathered hair. He has an ornate phoenix-themed crown (the Phoenix Crown) melded with his head.

Special abilities

When Buzz put on the magical Phoenix Crown, it permanently merged with him, greatly enhancing his physique and granting him various supernatural abilities.

Apparel & Accessories

Buzz typically wears a cloak of red dragonscales (no dragons were harmed), an Empire of Shisui general's armor, black wizard’s gauntlets, and goggles. He bears a large silver two-handed sword and has gun holsters scattered across his body.

Personal history

Buzz acquired his dragonscale cloak in one of his earliest adventures in Renedge. Buzz, Whittle, and Noland found themselves running from a horde of gnolls, and they hid in a nearby cave. In hopes of scaring the gnolls off, Buzz used his last magical charge to blast fire out of the cave and mimic a dragon's roar. The gnolls, wanting nothing to do with an angry dragon, ran.   Buzz was naturally very surprised to turn and discover that this cave actually was the home of a red dragon, and she was watching them. Fortunately, she found this whole thing hilarious. In appreciation of the entertainment, she gifted each of them with an item, with Buzz getting the dragonscale cloak. It was his first magic item and has carried him through the rest of his adventures. It was made painlessly from discarded scales over time, and was likely made by the dragon herself.

  • Buzz technically answers to a dark fey "dragon sorceress" who is cheerfully helping to raise Eriphaeza.

  • Buzz once asked Altruenth Dragolth if he had been okay working with a technomancer. Altruenthe said that as long as Buzz doesn't start the singularity and doom them all, he was pretty okay with it. Buzz responded that if Altruenthe ever finds out about a technomancer doing something like that, Altruenthe should call Buzz so Buzz can help him murder them.
  • Buzz has a wild brownie familiar named Yaza.

    • Family Ties

    In the past, Buzz was lonely, so he built himself a family. His "son" is named Junior. Junior is 5 years old as of late 23 ARL, and thanks to Buzz's refusal to give him anything but the best capabilities and chances of survival, he's immensely strong, immensely tough, able to run at 200 miles per hour, and has a bunch of other odd abilities. To get over the fact that technomantic creations usually make animals hostile, Buzz added an effect that made animals really like Junior, to the point that observers thought Junior was a ranger.
