The Abyss

The Realms of the Abyss have been described as an infinite downward spiral into increasingly deadly, perverse, gruesome and evil forms.

Unlike the The Nine Hells these realms are not under Asmodeus, Sovereign of Hell rule. Despotic Demon Princes contend for primacy so the Realms are in a near-constant state of war. Alliances between Demon Princes shift as their hatred and fear of Asmodeus, Sovereign of Hell is only slightly greater than their hatred and fear of each other.
