Calmaxtecan Languages

The Calmaxtecan languages are the second oldest human language group in Torvalen. The Calmaxtecan languages have less similarities within their groupings compared to other language groups, such as the Jolnic Languages or Eshtic Languages languages. This is due to two main factors: the Calmaxtec origins as separate nations on islands in an island cluster and a millenia of subjugation under the empires of the Tecuhtli shortly after their arrival in Kalmasa.

There are three distinct Calmaxtecan language groups, Northern Calmaxtec, Southern Calmaxtec and Desert Calmaxtec.
