Kahala

Kahala is the name of the northern highlands of Okaluan dominating the upper half of the continent. It is a rugged land of hills that rise to mountains in its interior that stretch to the northern coast of Okaluan. Many of these mountains are active volcanoes that make the steep moutain valleys unusually fertile. The only flat lands of Kahala are in the east where the hills give way to rolling plains.
