Matsu Tora
Tora is the first of five children to be given to Utaku Calus as a result of Matsu Kentaro's infidelity. She saw each one come in, although at first she didn't understand.
At 7 years old, her youngest sister entered the family, and she overheard her parents arguing about it. She ran away and was lost for 3 months, hiding effectively amongst the open War Cat hunting area. She frequently got food from the hunting cats while deftly avoiding search parties by following them. When she finally came home, she was so mad at her father Kentaro that she didn't talk to him at all for 2 more months, and then was disrespectful to him for the next 5 years. She has recently gotten somewhat better at obscuring her anger, but it's still clear she can't stand infidelity.
Tora was at Summer Court when she met and fell for the love of her life--a woman as tall as a tree who walked, constantly, in a ray of sunlight, with golden hair. Her name was Moshi Shion, and Tora rushed to Matsu Arakan for tips on how to woo her. Most of his tips were useless, but a few poems did manage to do the trick, and they were soon dating. Tora was happy to follow Shion wherever Shion needed to go--after all, she had made a habit of avoiding her own home. And when she had things to do, Shion accompanied her.
Tora was perpared to fight for the right to marry her, but was headed off at the pass when Arakan demanded it as payment for not tattling on Kentaro's mistake.
