Wilson and Gould

Wilson and Gould are a rare type of ecologist. Satirists and speakers of common language they have at times a venomous wit about them. They are lizardmen, the last of a people who once lived in a warm temperate place, on the edge of endless summer. They resemble alligators, something about the overbite that gives it away. But fear not, their teeth aren't turned to you. Both are united by a love of the natural world and a joy with discovering and sharing it. Their home now gone, and generations past, they are all that remain. Without a home they found Sanctuary, and the Institute already well established. But since they've come in, they've risen through the ranks of the scientific elite to become journal editors.
They've taken Ecologist's Quarterly in a new direction. Insisting on the use of Common in their publications over Jargon . Such moves were met with hostility at first. But the journal is seeing its highest circulation since inception. They know what they are doing to appeal to an audience. That kind of thing attracts talent, and they know how to look for it in Ecologists, Artists, Storytellers, and Cartographers alike.

Wilson's Antfarm

Varies Enchantment Requires Attunement

Wilson's Antfarm is too large to be moved from where it has been established. It it a huge sealed ecosphere of glass, the sands are crisscrossed with tunnels cleared by ants no bigger than a fingernail each. It is a wonder of a nature in of itself. But these ants are ritual casters. The tunnels they make form arcane sigils of seemingly infinite variety. To look into them is to become lost in awe of the intelligence and intricacy of the patterns.

An attuned and trusted user can connect with the ants by putting their hand against the glass and breathing slowly. The ants will dig out new tunnels, forming a sigil to connect with them. They become one with the hive. Able to search out the patterns from within. This ant colony acts as a suitable focus for Scrying.

The Underbiters and the Overbiters have long been at odds. Separated by a common belief in science but a difference of how to interpolate the data. The Underbiters, like Dawk, are certain that their differences from hair bearing creatures are an indication of more advanced life. The Overbiters see the differences as descriptive but not prescriptive of advancement.
