Session 8 Notes

General Summary
- While showing off, Cillian rolled a swim check and succeeded…… it is not legit and doesn't count for skill improvement.
- Mickey has the package containing the Gold Bar and the Strange Face in his backpack for moment for clarity purposes.
- Albert yells out at the creature telling it to not move any closer.
- We all begin to ready weapons in preparation for the conflict.
- Cillian asks the creatures outside who they are and what they want and it responds, "The master can't protect you here." In English, which is kind of unexpected
- The Father yells out that Nayra is under our protection and in response we hear a woman scream and a gun shot outside of the hut.
- Nayra begins to chant after pulling out what look like some ritual implements.
- Father Fury goes charging out of the hut toward the sounds of of screaming and gun shots.
- He is unphased by the visage of the horrid creature and he fires three times, missing twice and hitting a dud bullet.
- Albert runs out to join the Father and fumbles his sanity check. He takes six points of sanity loss, entering a bout of madness. (we lose Albert for a whopping 10 rounds!)
- He begins screaming that he has to dig, he begins to use his rifle to try and dig through the floor of the hit….
- Elias runs over to Albert and tries to take his weapon away, making it harder for Albert to dig through the reed mat. Jackson Elias comes out on top in the scuffle, pulling the rifle from Albert's grasp.
- Cillian tries to see out the back of the hut but is unable to, he tells Elias to have Nayra to move away from the walls and readies a shot out of the main entrance.
- A clawed hand bursts through the wall where Cillian had been, snagged at Nayra's clothing, but missed everyone.
- Father Fury sees the bodies of some villagers and there is more screaming and yelling from another hut. He also saw another creature run into a different hut.
- Mickey goes running out to join Father Fury and hears screaming coming out of the other hut. He rushes over to try and help.
- Elias continues to try and restrain Albert as Albert continues to try and rip the ground up.
- Cillian rushes forward toward the opening of the hut, passes his sanity check, and puts a bullet right between one of the creatures eyes, dropping it.
- From the other hut there is a horrible gurgling choking sound, its not great.
- Back in our hut, another claw comes shooting through the wall near Nayra and she gets scratched on the cheek.
- Mickey rushes into the other hut and sees another one of these creatures holding a little girl in front of it like a shield. Even though he failed his sanity check and dropped his rifle in surprise, he snatches his gun up and makes an expert shot, hitting the creature in the face and dropping it.
- Father Fury runs in behind Mickey and tries to aid a severely injured woman in the hut. This woman appears to be the mother of the child based on the child's reactions.
- The creature that Cillian dropped gets back up and charges at Cillian trying to slash Cillian with a clawed hand.
- It severely wounds Cillian, but not quite to the point of a mechanical disadvantage.
- Elias is finally able to bear hug, lifting him off the ground so he cant continue to dig through the mat.
- Cillian continues to battle the one on him and another creature rushes into combat with Mickey but Mickey is able to dodge out of the way, levels his rifle at the creature and fires, striking the creature in the groin, dropping it prone.
- Father Fury levels his Mauser at the creature on Mickey but misses.
- The creature on Cillian tries to slash Cillian but he is able to step to the side and smash it in the face with the butt of his rifle, dropping it to the ground once again, its face smashing in with a sickening crack.
- Albert is able to get away from Elias, however, Elias grabs him back up right away.
- Cillian double taps the creature, scattering its brain and bits of skull. He steps just out of the hut to try and see what is going on around him.
- The creature on Mickey stands up and grabs Mickey, grabs him, and chucks him into the water.
- Mickey tries to make his way back to the reed platform, but is unable to do so.
- Father Fury takes aim once more and this time he is able to hit the creature as it turns back around to face him.
- The Father continues to rebuke the devil as he does.
- Albert fights dirty, tries to twist Elias' balls, but Elias is able to dodge out of the way.
- Elias is able to maintain his grip on the Albert
- Cillian rushes to the edge of the reed mat to, stretches out sticking the butt of his rifle out over the water to give Mickey something to grab onto.
- The creature at Father Fury's feet wakes up and then creepily crab walks away before rushing into the hut where the screaming child is.
- Cillian is able to help Mickey back on land and hands Mickey his rifle.
- Father Fury rushes to help the girl in the hut, charging in next to the creature he takes a point blank shot with his mauser, hitting the creature once more. His shot takes it the neck, dropping it once again.
- Albert headbutts Elias, forcing Elias to drop him.
- The creature in the hut with Father Fury looks appears like a balding man, he beseeches the father for aid. He looks like a regular man, lamprey mouth is gone, but he still bears all the wounds he has taking.
- Father Fury, covers the girls eyes, and then shoots the creature in the head.
- Mickey rushes off to help Elias with Albert.
- Cillian makes his way, injured, back to Nayra takes position in front of her and scans the water.
- He drags Nayra to him and takes a defensive position scanning for more of the creatures.
- Mickey runs into the other hut, walks up to Albert, and cold cocks him. Mickey is unable to knock him out, so Albert keeps digging.
- However, between Mickey and Elias they are able to get Albert under control.
- Albert finally comes around and regains control of his senses.
- Nayra tries to aid the injured woman that Father Fury was trying to help, she is able to stabilize her.
- Nayra and Mickey try to help Cillian and we spend a little time tending to our wounds.
- We collect around the fire, put the islanders in one of the huts, Father Fury says Last Rights over the bodies, and he and Mickey start chucking bodies into the lake.
- One of the dead creatures turns out to be the Mystery Man Cillian saw watching them in the bar the very first night we were in Lima.
- There is still a sucking noise that occasionally comes from the body.
- The other one, with a mostly missing head is possibly a teenage girl.
- The cranial damage is not healing, but the rest of the body is.
- There are several boats available and we have some decisions.
- We ended the session there.
