Albert Boucher

Albert Boucher (a.k.a. Le Vole)

Albert Boucher left school in France at the age of 17 to fight against the Germans in the Great War. In his second year at war, he was captured and made a POW. He, along with several other prisoners, escaped, but were captured shortly after and moved to a new facility. He escaped once again, was caught and was moved to a maximum security camp. Over the course of a year, he dug an exceptionally long tunnel to escaped and this time succeeded, making his way back to an allied camp. The tunnel was largely made possible by Albert's exceptional endurance and small size. It was this massive effort that earned him the nickname "Le Vole." At the war's end his lack of education led him to scavenge on the streets of Nice for a living, where he became a pickpocket. Albert was living as a pickpocket in Nice when he made an error that resulted in a large contingent of organized crime members as well as the police on his tail. Backed into a corner and in desperate straights, he lifted a random steamer ticket off of a traveler ant the Nice shipyard, took their place on the ship and ended up steaming all the way to Peru where he is now with no real idea of what to do next. He's a survivor though, so her' sure he'll figure something out.
