Ishurad's Vault
Created by the First King himself as a safe sanctuary hidden deep in the Smokethorn Woods, Ishurad's Vault can only be found by those possessing the Noble Compass. The Vault's exterior is a temple that has fallen into ruin since the days of the First King but is still protected by ancient magical constructs.
The power of the Vault has since leaked out into the land around it and a group of local Wild Elves became corrupted by its power, becoming Chaos Elves that are consumed by a hunger for magic.
The Vault's interior exists on a separate realm of existence that can only be accessed by the King's Door, a 10 foot tall set of stone double doors that lead seemingly to nowhere in the center of the temple's main chamber. This gateway can only be opened by one possessing the First King's Blood and those who pass through must then navigate a magically simulated environment designed to test the morality of those attempting to enter the Vault, and allowing access only to those with good hearts. The test is designed by the Vault itself, as the First King imbued it with a level of magical sentience that could draw upon the forms and memories of Ishurad's descendants. In the Party's case, they had to survive the Slaughter of Bygate whilst saving as many lives as possible and never compromising, following the principles that the First King lived by. The Vault also used this as an opportunity to show the Party the start of Vimis Underdrey's journey into becoming Lord No One. Serena Bearheart enlisted the Party's help is escorting Damon Rainhald safely to the Vault, as she believed it would be the one place in the realm where Damon would be safe. After making it to the Vault and fighting off a horde of Chaos Elves drawn by Damon using his King's Blood power to open the Vault Door, the Party made it through the magical gateway and were drawn into the Vault's true security layer. When the Party succeeded in the test and made it into the Vault's interior, the acolytes of the Nameless Order were able to gain access to the Vault due to Gust Ragedrum drawing a rune of power under Lord No One's orders, unaware of the true consequences of his deal.
