Rudur Rainhald

King Rudur would become the last of his royal line after leading Sanroth into a war with the neighboring country of Streganna that cost both sides dearly, known now as the Hollow War. Rudur's extreme attitude towards the war came due to the death of his son, Prince Valorun, at the Slaughter of Bygate. Believing his other son, Adoris , to already be dead after an accident years earlier, Valorun's death pushed Rudur over the edge and he became obsessed with winning the war and attaining vengeance for his slaughtered son, even when his closest advisors begged him to sue for peace. 
The war came to an abrupt end when when Lord Vimis Underdrey, better known as Lord No One of Nowhere, marched into the Great Keep and demanded an audience with the King, seemingly sick of the cost of life that Rudur's vendetta had racked up. The confrontation became a massacre, as Rudur and the rest of his family were killed by the once insignificant Lord No One. Only Rudur's nephew, Damon, survived.
