Linyi

A mid sized settlement sitting just outside the influence of the Jinxi Collective on Jinxi. They manage to remain independent with a powerful mixture of distrust of outsiders and heavy modifications to their habitat's defenses.
At one time, the people of Linyi were under the oppressive thumb of a warlord like so many other settlements on Jinxi. Fate turned in their favour when one of the residents discovered a cache of pre-scream weaponry in a nearby ruin. Over the course of many a bloody battle, the people of the settlement managed to drive out the warlord's soldiers, steal a fleet of air-tight trawlers and transport trucks, and retro-fit the habitat's airlocks with weaponry capable of driving off any would-be invaders.
In the years following, the settlement would come to be known as one of the few colonies truly independent form warlord rule. They manage to be self sufficient in their farming, and go on frequent dives into nearby ruins for weaponry and artifacts to sell.
