Hiega

Hiega is the God of Justice. Although he prides himself on punishing wrong-doers, he strives even more so to protect those who suffer unfairly and further the spread of law and order in the world. He is a deeply empathetic deity, who feels the pain of being slighted along with any mortal who suffers injustice. Furthermore, he continues to suffer the pangs of injustice for days or weeks afterwards. As such, he is often suffering a near constant barrage of pain and remorse at all times. Despite this, he never staggers or wavers in his endless pursuit of fairness for all, even those who directly oppose him.

Description

Hiega appears as a powerful man, usually an elderly and seasoned warrior. He wears a great many scars across his face and body, symbols of the suffering he feels almost endlessly, and the price of leading a just and noble life when those around you do not hold themselves to the same standards. He wields an enormously powerful warhammer, nearly as tall as he is, with a single hand. On his left arm he carries a great silver shield emblazoned with balanced scales, representing fairness and equity. He wears relatively little clothing and no armor, showing off his powerful body and the marks of his millennia of injuries.

Personality

Hiega is boisterous and optimistic nearly all of the time, never missing a step or hesitating to seek justice and protect those who suffer unfairly. As a result of constantly throwing himself on the front lines of such conflicts, he is often himself made to suffer in their place. Outwardly he acts completely unaffected by the endless suffering and injustice he continues to witness despite every effort he makes.

Relationships

Hiega tentatively respects Senno, and understands that wars can be just and necessary at times. Although he often disapproves of the lengths Senno will go to to start or end conflicts, he does recognize the relative balance that is maintained throughout Seinnaris as a result of the god of war's constant interloping.
