The Northern portion of
Dokage that is shadowed by
Sukorak less often than the
Kage Ward. It is home to the wealthy districts and larger estates, as well as government and military buildings.
Plaza of the Gods
Near the central part of the town, in the southernmost section of the ward, is a collection of three outdoor shrines. Each is facing inward toward each other and each is dedicated to a different divine being.
Shrine to Arashiki
The largest of the three shrines is dedicated to
the god of knowledge. Tables and benches are carved out of stone all around the shrine, making it a popular place to come and study or seek inspiration. In the cneter, carved from white marble, is a large figure with a closed book balanced on his upturned palms. His eyes are closed in quiet contemplation.
Shrine to Hiega
No the smallest or the largest is the shrine to
the god of justice. Simple stone benches form three quarters of a ring around the central altar, which features a statue of Hiega holding a large two handed warhammer, the head of the weapon resting on the ground. Behind him are two balanced and empty scales.
Shrine to Manna
The smallest of the three shrines is dedicated to
the goddess of magic. In the center of the shrine is a small fountain featuring a stone depiction of the goddess. She holds her right hand over her chest and her left arm is reaching with her palm facing out. A steady stream of water flows from her outstretched hand ot the pool of water around her.
Courthouse
Not far from the Plaza of the Gods, directly past the Shrine to Hiega is the large courthouse. In front is a statue of a woman with long hair and flowing robes, holding an open book and consulting with other men and women around her. Judging by the level of detail given to her features and the relative lack of details on anyone else, it's clear that she was intended to be the focus of this piece. This is a well known depiction of
Silia Lai, who oversaw the construction of the courthouse. She valued collaboration and deliberation over the unilateral decision making demonstrated by most of the earlier masters of
Sukorak.
Vusk Toshokan
The
Vusk Toshokan is the library of Dokage.
The Right Hand
Small offices where
The Right Hand conducts business when necessary. Serves as a way for locals to contact The Right Hand or request help. The building also houses several cells and serves as the jail house. Crime in town is low, and offenses that require imprisonment are incredibly rare. As such, the cells are mostly empty most of the time.
