Originally named
Zhongyang de Zhisi (
Central Location of Knowledge in
Liquon) by
The Hotsukai during the early founding of
Shudan. It was pronounced by the
Shudani speakers as
Zonyangu de Shishi and eventually shortened to
Zonyanshi. This name stuck for centuries, although more recently it has become common to use the simpler
Zonyashi instead.
Zonyashi is the capital of
Shudan, and with more than 15,000 residents it is also the most populous city in Shudan. It is situated near the northern tip of
Lake Kohu and is a frequent stop for many trips by land or water throughout Shudan, owing to it's very central location.
Government
This capital city of Shudan is the seat of power for the
Shudan Shogunate and is overseen by the
Eastwind directly.
Peacekeeping & Military
The
Ironbound maintain a small precence in most major cities throughout Shudan, but are primarily based here in Zonyashi. Low ranking members double as the police force inside the city, but most of them function more like a proper military than a peace keeping force. The
Remingale Family have historically produced many of the highest ranking members in the military. The current head of the family,
Masujiro Remingale, oversees all logistical operations.
Although the
Windbound are based in
Nanganato, they also maintain a small presence at the northern tip of
Lake Kohu just oustide of the city.
