Assistant Fire Chief

Duties

Assistant fire chiefs manage and control the activities of personnel assigned to the operations division. The operations division includes efforts for fire suppression and disaster relief.

Responsibilities

Create programs to maintain and improve the fire service by preparing budgets and planning expansions. Assign Fire Inspectors as necessary.

Benefits

Pay and benefits per the N.E.F.D. pay and benefits schedule.

Grounds for Removal/Dismissal

The Mayor may relieve the Assistant Fire Chief at any time.
