Duties

The captain is expected to operate as the highest-ranking officer at the scene of an emergency and direct operations as needed.

Responsibilities

Oversees the day-to-day operations and training of the fire station. They receive reports from the lieutenants working at the station, and make administrative decisions for the good of the team.

Grounds for Removal/Dismissal

Fire Captains can only be dismissed by recommendation of the Fire Chief to the city council.
