King of Sarkara
The throne of Sarkara is passed from father to oldest son, following feudal tradition. The king rules over all of the duchies of Sarkara, and is also officially the ruler of Ronceaux, though the Viceroy there is fairly independent.
Appointment
The king should be the oldest living male heir of the previous king, followed by the oldest daughter, if there are no male heirs. If the king has no children, his oldest living brother is next in line. The counsil of lords must approve of the new king or queen.
Duties
The king of Sarkara is also the lord of Regenshire, the duchy at the heart of Sarkara that holds the Silver Run and the capital city of Sarka, though traditionally, he will confer this title and responsibility on his heir, the crown prince of the realm, when he comes of age. He is also the head of the counsil of lords, and all the feudal lords of Sarkara must swear fielty to him.
