The Church of Light

The Church of Light is the faith dedicated to Arathion, the god of the sun. It is the dominant religious power in most of western Sildair. It rose to prominence during the Golden Epoch, but truly became the strongest religious organisation after the Second War of Ashes when the military orders of the church were instrumental in liberating Dunethel. In the Silver Epoch the church holds the lion's share of the religious influence in the human kingdoms of western Sildair.

The symbol of the church is Arathion's sword, held up in front of the sun. Over the years, the sword has been stylized into a cross.
