Roglian Empire
Leading in Innovation
The grand Roglian Empire, spanning the far Eastern coast of Skålnir and beyond, the Roglian Empire hold vast amounts of experimental and functioning new technologies. The ruler, Godrow Roglian, holds a high interest in innovation and new creations leading his empire to be the first to develop such wonders as airships and the Great Eastern Railway.Airships allow easy maneuverability between the lands however are somewhat limited as to how long they are allowed in the skies preventing them from travelling far from lands of civilisation. The people of the Empire live in a vastly split social system with those of great wealth happily living away from the slums now filled with toxic chemicals and oily streets. Innovation moved quickly in The Empire and as a result, the infrastructure to support it has not been well established. It is not rare to hear of wells poisoned by oil or mutations that stretch further beyond magical anomaly, and so now even the slums of the Roglian Empire have their own slums and the wealthy only keep inventing new creations to produce these toxicities.
Regions of the Land
The Empire is split into three primary regions.- The Montarian Lands
- The Holsen Lands
- The Elladin Lands
The Montarian Lands
Spanning the north of the Empire, the Monratian lands encompass the old area once owned by the Kingdom of Monter prior to the Royal Cleansing. These lands reach the far norths of Skålnir and are barely habitable, however recent expeditions and technology into these lands do seek to create more livable societies. Many cursed stories lay their foundations in the unknown of the Northern Empire, the backdrop of scientific growth alongside the isolation of frosted lands has led to many stories of abominations and unspeakable experiments, and with the rise of independent expeditions due to new safety technologies, conspiracy theorists have flocked from the continent to try and find the newest scandal and adventure.Apart from the ice-scapes and varying biomes of frost, not much dwells northward, and so it is the most sparse of the regions of the Empire.
The Holsen Lands
The Holsen Lands cover the remainder of the Empire present on the primary continent of Skålnir and is the most rapidly developing and largest population-wise for the country. The boundary of the Holsen lands and the Montarian lands is the Great Eastern Railway that travels between the capitals of the Empire and The Kingdom of Anvika.95% of the population of the Empire dwell in this region and usually, when people speak of the Empire they speak so in reference to these lands.
The Elladin Lands
The Elladin Lands cover the southern island of East Unsvi, the easternmost point of Skålnir. Although The Roglian Empire have ownership of these lands, they do very little to impose any sort of authority or governance and allow the Elladin to function as their own society. The Elladins and the Empire are on good terms and often invite the others to come and share their cultures and stories on their respective lands.More can be read about the Elladin Lands here.
