S14: The Battle for Dunwell Report
General Summary
After mourning the loss of their comrades, burrying some and putting tohers on a pyre according to Burial Rites in Eldonia the players moved thier home base to the Blood Eagles safehouse. There they gathered weapons to equip the Nordring rebellion happening the next day.
The players took on the imperium, rallying the troops at the Sable, Lavinia began with a rousing song, followed by a speech, bringing in Eira and her daughter to testify to the evil happening among the government. Eira compared the group with the famous Umbra-Nex / The Shadowbane of myth and lore. Lavinia concluded the rally with a cry to burn down the Imperial HQ.
The now inspired and equipped rag tag army moved unobstructed to the HQ, and threw torches into the windows, trapping the workers inside and slaying 4 imperial agents. The Govenors mansion was also burned. It was then that the garrison troops came and the govenor now seemingly arisen from the grave at thier head.
During the fight, which persisted with successes and setback on both sides, the party discovered the govenor was likley Morgana Delphine in disguise. After a tough fight, she fled seemingly to Falvus Verus' mansion. Meanwhile at the height of the battle, Vass went down from a elite guard who managed to flank the group. He was at first stablized by Warden Lucian Argentius but put back down. And slipped into death with an apology to someone. After defeating the elite guard, Lucian kneeled over Vass. Kissed his head and muttered an incantation. Casting Revivify and sacrificing himself to bring Vass back from death.
While dead, Vass saw himself in the mirror but perfected and angellic. Spoke with his angellic self, who indentified himself as Micah before returning to the land of the living.
