3rd Royal Imperial Fleet

The 3rd Imperial Fleet is assigned to The Great Expanse, a region technically under the jurisdiction of the Corporate Assembly. Most of the time, the 3rd Fleet acts as a reminder of Imperial might, and serves to prevent corporate conflict from escalating to full scale war.
While they might not have the largest contingent of conventional forces, the 3rd Royal Fleet has very flexible armadas, that can be scrambled and deployed across the Great Expanse at a moment's notice. They also deploy some of the most capable intelligence services among the entire Imperial military, and work closely alongside the Ministry of the Imperial Secret Service. Grand Admirals of the 3rd Fleet notoriously have had a bend of favoritism towards the Imperial Nobility, usually because they are showered with wealth and a cushy noble position post-service. Many officers go on to serve directly in the Service's direct action groups.
