Spell Bomb
Neighbor to an assortment of magical orbs, spell bombs are similar devices which usually activate by breaking the glass object specifically during an official match, and activate the use of an artificial spell without using any direct energy from the owner or other targets. Spell bombs store the effects of specific spells, even temporary summons for use in battle, and react in various ways. They are one-time-use only items, and their process of development makes them quite expensive to use.
Mechanics & Inner Workings
Spell bombs are essentially magic orbs (compact orbs) encased entirely into a slightly larger glass sphere. That sphere in most cases is designed to be shattered in order to activate the crystal while using the energy from the veil directly instead of from the wielder. The crystal itself is robust and will not shatter, but instead will be used up by the spell it is designated for.
Significance
Can change the tide of battle by relying on legal items instead of MP source. Spell bombs are also one of the only item catagories that is allowed to be used in official Leray battles. The orbs by design are set to an inactive status, meaning they cannot be used by wielders unless under the full presence and protection from a Siriean Dome.
