Compact Orb

A compact orb (now called magic orb) is a classification of a capsule used to encase a small Leray crystal enchanted with a modified permanent spell. Compact Orbs that contain these crystals are used to house a wide variety of specific objects, such as healing orbs, MP orbs, spell bombs, dress sphere transformation orbs, and other related objects. The spell is frozen in the crystal. Activation of personal MP energy into that crystal activates and links the spell to the user. Objects like these may be one-time-use only, or reusable. In most cases, the capsule itself is dissolved and lost forever along with its crystal shard upon use.

Utility

This basically saves a magic spell by a capable mage and then reassignes its usage to a different wielder who purchases and activates that spell during a battle.

Manufacturing

Plastic and glass mateirals are used together to make these items. The crystals themselves are of a different variety far more common and cheaper to obtain.

Access & Availability

These are required to insulate any related item integrated with this tech. The subsequent items are availible to all in Sprawn Valley through the stores, varying in price.

Discovery

The simulated use of one-time crystals has been part of the art of magic battles for several centuries. The compact orbs only serve as a capsel to insulate the crystals from damage and mark them so that they are easy to identify. The capsel was invented in 1650.
