Do You Want To Buy a Plot With Bandits?
Session Two: The Defense of Shimmerstone
General Summary
Okay, okay. Maybe that first one was a bit sparse. Just landing on planet and shopping. Hardly an exciting plot. But this one has bandits! You'll love it!
- The "main party" (Tor'vir, Amur, and Asha) arrive via hovertruck in town and stealthily set off to fight the bandits and save Ashley's heirloom chest.
- The remainder of the party (Gridtok and Niwadi) come up from the South to flank the bandits and cut off their escape.
- The party finds bandits attempting to steal a hovertruck and an heirloom chest, being berated soundly by Ashley, an elderly Sith Pureblood, who attempts to hit them with her walking cane.
- The raiders are quickly defeated and captured. One of them is dressed in tattered remains of an Imperial Uniform.
- They rest briefly and then go on to the Shimmerstone Mine to strike the other bandits while their numbers are reduced.
- Pretending to be the bandits, the group easily tricks the security droid into allowing them past the make-shift fence into the mining compound.
- Still pretending to be bandits, the team attempts to lure the bandits out of the buildings to come "help" unload the truck. The plan is foiled when the door opens and the two Jedi rush the approaching bandits.
- A battle ensues, and more bandits continue to appear slowly, until the group is fairly certain they've found and defeated all of them.
- The bandit supplies are captured and suddenly a bandit commlink bursts into chatter, displaying a human in a badly maintained imperial uniform.
- The human chastises the bandits, but quickly figures out that the team in control of the mine is not his team.
- He first tries to bribe them to work for him, but when they prove loyal, threatens them to leave or be destroyed by his IM99 Persauder Tank. They have three days to get away (as do the townsfolk).
- Niwadi recognizes the type of tank and there is nothing they or the miners have that can stand up to it, when Asha reveals she is in possession of something that can.
- Asha leads them deeper into the canyons to a crashed, wrecked ship.
- They investigate the ship and there are many oddities, such as the reinforced hull beyond normal needs, the information it went into hyperspace, but its hyperdrive still has packing foam around it, a stealth field, and a power harpoon on the keel of the ship.
- They debate how best to repair it in the limited time available as the sun begins to set... Yes, yes, much better plot! Weaponsfire! Shouty bandits! Brave Jedi! You want to buy this one? Two thousand credits.

Things We Learned
- Asha has secrets! (Not really a surprise)
- Nials Petrarch wants the mine for...we don't know what reasons yet. He seems to have better equipment than most people given the comm range.
- Tor'vir seems convinced the Jawa are quite deadly (or at least competant)
- The soil is so toxic people grow food on their roofs (But isn't the rainwater toxic too? Hmm?)
