Cassius first met Kade when she came upon him and Blake Solas crashlanded on a planet. Blake was drunk by the time Kade found them and Cassius allowed Kade to come to the conclusion that Blake had been the pilot at the time of the crash and her drinking was why it happened (years later, Blake disputed this claim and asserted that Cassius had been piloting the craft at the time). Kade gave Cassius and Blake a lift and ended up shuttling Cassius around for a time until he could get another ship from the Sacred Ascendency. At some point during this association, Cassius and Kade hooked up but it never became anything serious.
