Roku has a stocky build that is progressively losing all its soft bits the more time he spends adventuring around in space.

Roku wears the sort of well-tailored robes with sleeves that flare past the elbows, which is the current fashion in Terminus. He also has a pair of pince-nez with fluctuating colors. He also carries around an iron fragment that is from the SS Zheng He, the first Exodus ship to arrive in the Forge.

Roku is a trader who had a very successful business until his ambitions outgrew being "merely" a trader in Terminus. Fortunately, he's also a highly skilled navigator and lore hunter, which will come in handy on his quest to find the cipher for the Edenstone.
Currently, Roku is the owner of the ship Cygnus and therefore the employer of her captain, the ever-prickly Kade.

Roku swore an ironvow to find the cipher for the Edenstone and finish the quest that his father undertook, and which claimed his father's life.

Contacts & Relations
Kimora Zhang was a friend and sponsor of Roku's father and so takes a sort of godparently regard toward Roku that appears to be based around real affection (if a little ambiguously expressed).
Family Ties
Roku is the son of a female member of the Rorke Clan. Per Rorke Clan Tradition, he should've been given his mother's surname, however, he was given his father's surname instead, and this caused a great deal of controversy. The Clan has never formally acknowledged Roku, and he has never met his maternal relations beyond his mother.
Following the split of his parents, Roku left Chiron with his father and hasn't had any contact with his mother since.

Nicknames & Petnames
Kade calls Roku "Rok" when she's not mad at him and "Ku-Ku" when she's trying to be irritating. She does not appear to realize that Roku doesn't like being called "Rok."
Wealth & Financial state
Roku inherited his father's successful trading business after his death, and though he also inherited his father's debts, he was able to negotiate it down by half with Kimora Zhang, his father's sponsor. Roku still owes something like 1 billion credits to Zhang and he also used up a great deal of money buying Cygnus.
