Hysteria 17: "Eleventh Hour"
General Summary
In the brig, Hinata is recognized by Tsutsumi, who suggests they met in the past. Denying all allegations, Hinata is released due to a red alert caused by contact from enemy forces- Wei Wu is eager to negotiate, but is denied by Silia Scapula. In order to secure her full command of Stellar Vanguard Group in the system, Wei orders Hinata to bomb the synch-gate at the Galactic Oasis to cut them off from wider communications.
After getting a letter from Saburo, Hinata and Mitsuru ponder the past. Astrea offers to jailbreak Hinata's ghost tech pistol. That night, Charlotte visits Hinata and takes him to get a drink, prompting Hinata's suspicion- in the morning, he finds out that Nova Base's medical records have been breached, and that his biometric data gathered from his drink was likely used to access his file.
After heading down to Mont-de-Marsan, Hinata plants the bomb supplied by Wei in the Galactic Oasis after an air raid strike is called in, and the fire alarm is pulled to ensure no casualities. After running into Ruben during his escape, Hinata gets him away from the explosion, and offers to fight him, while Ruben declines. After getting a call from Céline, Hinata goes to see Tak, who breaks down under the strain of her secrets, and reveals her status as a nebulite agent belonging to a force allied with the Siliconians, and muses on her frustrations about humanity. She encourages Hinata to escape and remove the tempoavox from his head, as it allegedly will cause the destruction of her compatriots.
