Lerateío

The priesthood of the Eastern Church is called the Lerateío. The higher ranks (Archiepískopos and Archigós) require ordination as an elder. Common priests (Papás) require ordination as priests. A deacon (Diákonos) may or may not be ordained as a deacon. Acolytes are never ordained, though they take vows of service.
