Archigós

When the Epískopos of an Ekklisía is also the Mitropolítis of their Synod, often their local Ekklisía is too large for them to manage effectively. In these cases, in addition to appointing an Archiepískopos, they will select someone to manage the priesthood at the congregation where they locate their seat - at their Cathedral. Such a senior priest is called an Archigós.
