Upwoods
The Upwoods is a semi-tropical, deciduous forest located in the northern part of Minnet Hwell. It is called "Upwoods" as it is both north of the Downwoods and higher in elevation. Because of this, it is not as prone to flooding as the Downwoods.
Geography
The Upwoods is a relatively hilly forested region. Its soil is eroded at places, containing clays, rich soils, and veins of granite, with some granite boulder and rock formations underneath the dense vegetation and tree canopy.
Ecosystem
The region has many creeks and streams which arise during rain, emptying into ponds and temporary puddles, supporting amphibian life.

Deer, squirrels, foxes, birds, amphibians, some snakes, ferns, maples, oaks, moss.

Timber, although forestry is not common in the region. Typical forest vegetation resources, deer hunting, clay.
